Avanceon wins a contract for the provision of a high-end PLC based Control System to manage surface and stormwater volumes received from the industrial area in the vicinity of Doha, Qatar.
The overall project includes the construction of a pumping station for collection, treatment, and discharge of treated water into deep recharge wells. In the bigger scheme of things, this pumping station will eventually pump surface and stormwater to one of the longest outfall tunnels in the world (10 km long with a depth of about 30 meters below the ground surface) once it gets operational.
Avanceon has been tasked to provide a viable control and automation solution for managing operations at the pumping station. Avanceon will be collaborating with Industrial Software Solutions providing firm to execute this project.
Project’s detailed scope of work includes: Design, engineering, supply, installation, configuration, testing & commissioning of PLC based Control System; Supply, installation, and commissioning of necessary field instrumentation; Supply and programming of the integrated design for both hardware and software components; Development of Human Machine Interface (HMI), graphics, dashboards, trends, database, etc. as per functional design specifications; and Operational and Maintenance Training.
