IOCL to ramp up multiple projects in Tamil Nadu

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has made investment commitments of over Rs 2,200 crore in Tamil Nadu in the next two years towards building ‘a grass-root terminal’ at Asanur and Vallur, and implementing a ‘captive petroleum’ project and an oil & lubricant-LPG jetty at Kamarajar port.
The oil major is also in the process of setting up an integrated lube complex at Ammulaivoyyal village on the outskirts of Chennai. Key ongoing projects include the Ennore-Tiruvallur sector, Bengaluru-Puducherry-Nagapattinam-Madurai-Turicorin gas pipeline and augmentation of Chennai-Tiruchirappali-Madurai pipeline projects.
IOCL currently contributes with 57% share in LPG, 36.9% in petrol and 43.9% in diesel in Tamil Nadu. The state has witnessed 10% ethanol blending with petrol.
