Offshore marine work to commence

GS Engineering & Construction (Main Contractor) and its subcontractor (SixConstruct), appointed by Bahrain LNG W.L.L, shall soon be commencing the offshore Construction works for the Bahrain LNG Import terminal which is located North East of Khalifa Bin Salman Port (KBSP). The works will include: construction of the Breakwater, dredging activities, and the ground piling works for the LNG jetty and associated Platform. The works will start Second week of January 2017 and last up to Feb 2019. During this period, marine transportation activities will also take place between KBSP and BLNG Terminal.
Fishermen, Sailors and Mariners are urged to exercise extreme caution when transiting the area, and shall pass more than 1000 meters from the work area marker buoys on site. Safety / Security boat will be guarding the area listening on VHF Ch. 74
NO-GO- ZONE: The area delineated by P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5 (top right) is a dedicated Exclusion Zone for the construction activities, where authorized boats/vessels are permitted to enter only. The area will be marked with yellow bouys and yellow flashing lights.
