Thane-based Rappid Valves, a manufacturer and supplier of specially designed valves in various grades in high alloy steel material supplies to the chemical, marine, naval, oil & gas, steel, OEM and process industries, has recently executed a prestigious order for interceptor boats made by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Shipbuilding Division for Indian Coast Guard.
Rappid Valves supplied more than 5000 SS 316L valves to L&T for project developed patrolling vessels (interceptor speed boats) for the Indian coast guard.
Additionally the company is supplying 600 more valves in NAB material to L&T for floating dock for the Indian Navy. “The purpose of these valves is it to carry out re-fit, maintenance of war ships, submarines in mid sea. The valves are being manufactured as per Indian Navy Standards,” said Mr Gaurav Dalal, Director of Rappid Valves.
He said that Rappid is supplying SDNR, SDSL, ball, pneumatic operated quick closing valve, check valves and many other valves to the Indian Navy for FDN project being executed by the L&T warship division.
