Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has instructed that all the pending projects in Palamuru district should be completed by Kharif season next year and works on the major irrigation projects in the district should be speeded up. The CM has also felt that including granite, Irrigation and drinking water supply under the GST will have adverse affect and decided to bring this to the notice of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
CM instructed officials to construct Narlapur, Edula, Vattem, Karivena reservoirs ,which are part of Palamuru project with the highest maximum capacity levels. This will help to turn arid lands into fertile ones, end migration of workers and help giving water to the farmers from Palamuru. Kalwakurthy, Nettampad, and Bhima projects are being completed on a fast track. He further added that on-going projects should be completed cent percent by next year Kharif season and water should be supplied to the entire Ayacut. CM also suggested to speed up work on Mallanna Sagar, Konda Pochamma reservoirs, which are part of Kaleswaram project.
