Thermax wins USD 157M contracts from an African major

Thermax has recently won export contracts from a leading African conglomerate to supply 4 utility boilers, 8 heat recovery steam generators and 2 flue gas steam generators for its refinery and petrochemical project coming up in Nigeria.
The scope of supply covers design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing and testing, and supervision of commissioning of these equipment at the site. The order, won against global competition, is valued at approximately USD 157M.
“Thermax has proven experience of executing projects in Africa, and we are happy to receive this repeat order from the customer which is a reflection of the goodwill and trust we are gaining in the continent,” says M. S. Unnikrishnan, MD & CEO of Thermax. Thermax equipment is for a grassroot 460,000 BPSD petroleum refinery and 600,000 TPA Polypropylene plant, the client is setting up in the Lekki Free Trade Zone of Nigeria.
